ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Labor Day which is dedicated in honor of the worker. It is also appropriately called the working man’s holiday. It’s to celebrate all the work we do in or outside the home. As long as you work somewhere at something, This holiday is for you !
The first Labor Day was held in New York City on September 5th, 1882 and was started by the Central Labor Union. It was later moved to the first Monday in September. On June 28th, 1894 the US congress voted it a national holiday.
Labor Day is also viewed as the official end of summer. While the Fall Equinox is still a couple of weeks away, the kids go back to school and summer vacations are over. Many celebrate with one last picnic. It’s also the day many close up the pool and put away the boats. As the summer ends and the beautiful golden autumn season begins, people turn back into their homes and redecorate for fall.
Happy Labor Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A job is what we do for money; work is what we do for love.
Marysarah Quinn
I used to have a job, but now I work at things I love. And if you love what you do nothing is really work.
I am loving my quiet weekend and really not doing any kind of work at all. I was pet sitting for my grand dogs and loved every moment. Now I’m home again.
DD has some lovely flowers growing outside and I love the sign she got to hang above the fireplace which are all displayed in today’s pictures. She also had a huge spiderweb out on the porch which is shown in the very last picture. It was nice to have something new to take pictures of.
I’ll be off line for the next few days as I’ll be traveling for my uncle’s funeral. I will check in again when I return. Prayers for family members traveling as we remember a wonderful uncle .
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week Have a safe and happy Labor day!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Work is love made visible.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6311. for the work that I can still do
6312. for new sights to see, not my usual view
6313. for beautiful flowers still blooming
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
A good rest is half the work.

I love your daughter's new sign! My hubby is fascinated by the intricate designs 'our' spiders weave right before his 'thinking bench.'
Travel safely!
Happy Labour Day Pam! Ohh what a big Spider web! Such a beautiful thing though is a spider web. Amazing when you think of all the work that goes towards creating one! Like you, I now work at enjoying life! Sorry to read of your Uncle . God bless and safe travels. Xoxo
