ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is National Blueberry Popsicle Day which is an opportunity to enjoy this delightful summer treat, especially when they are made with fresh squeezed blueberry juice.
Popsicles were in invented in 1905 by a boy named Frank Epperson. One winters night he accidentally left a fruit flavored drink with a stirring stick on his porch. In the morning, it was the frozen treat we all know and love. Frank called his invention the Episicle, but the name was changed to popsicle 18 years later.
To celebrate today, purchase a pack of blueberry popsicles or make you own homemade version.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.
Roger Caras
As its to be a hot and steamy day here in Ohio, a popsicle should help to cool things off. I’m keeping cool inside and reading a good book today while I pet sit for 2 of my grand dogs. They are shown in the picture above.
Unlike baby sitting, pets like these two require very little watching over. Basically I feed and water them, let them in and out and give them a few pats and treats now and then. They are such good dogs and I have a very easy job.
We are looking at another hot summer day. I finished one book and am starting another. It’s a very quiet and relaxing weekend for me.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Happy Sunday!
Your grand-dogs are beautiful! That's interesting about the invention of popsicles. Those were a real staple of my youth. Come to think of it, I don't recall having had one since I was a girl. 'Saw something on Facebook recently about making their own 'adult' popsicles!
My son left me a note when he was a kid, "let's have a popsicle summer".
You know I kept that note! :-)
Happy pipsicle day! I miss popsicles over here! What fun that you get to dog sit with your grand-dogs! I hope you got lots of reading done! The books look good! Xoxo
