ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is September 911 Remembrance Day which is a day we are encouraged to spend a few minutes reflecting on the day of September 11th, 2001 when the Word Trade Towers in NYC and the Pentagon in Washington were attacked.
It is also called Patriot Day in honor of the 2,977 killed in the attacks on September 11, 2001. In the United States the American flag is flown at half staff at the White House and on all US government buildings and establishments throughout the world.
This tragic day is etched forever in our memories. It touched and changed forever, the lives of each and every American.
A moment of silence is observed a 8:46 am EST, the time the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
To those fallen, and those who survive: We will never forget.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.
The Wonder Years
On the bright side this day brings back many happy memories for me. It was the day I got married over 50 years ago now. It is also, to my delight, the day that my oldest son and his wife chose to be married.
Both occasions were very happy and worth remembering. So today is a bittersweet one for me with the sad and the joyful mixed.
I will never forget that morning in 2001 when I heard the news on the radio while sitting at my desk at work. It was unbelievably horrifying. We’d never had anything like it happen before. I don’t think that anyone living at the time will ever forget. Young people today cannot imagine the terror, but should never forget either.
After all the rain we’ve had for a few days in a row now, I think we may dry out today and I’ll be able to get outside and cut the grass. It’s to be in the low 70’s so it won’t be too hot to get the yard work done either. Due to the heat of the week before, and the rain of this past weekend, I’m at quite behind.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

6330. for the brave men and women who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001, I’ll never forget
6331. for an end to the rain and a drier day

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

BITTERSWEET memories all. I will never forget.
Happy Anniversary ❤ and I will never forget...
Oh Pam, I have enjoyed your wedding photos. What a beautiful bride you were and you both look so happy! I, too, cannot forget 9 11. It was a terrible day for the whole world. All of our lives changed on that day. God bless you for all that you share. Love and hugs, xoxo
A bittersweet day indeed, filled with wonderful memories of marriage, yet a terrible tragedy. It is good to focus on the happy memories of the day and pray for those affected by the terrible events of that fateful day in 2001.
betty
Bittersweet … exactly! Your wedding photos so lovely; so full of promise.
I, too, will NEVER forget the moment I heard the news from NYC. I was at the office when a client phoned, "Have you heard?" A few minutes later, my co-workers buddy phoned from NYC, relaying the awful events, the collapse in real time. Those scenes etched in my memory; strangely, each anniversary the vulnerability, the grief … it all comes back.
