The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Biscuit Day which celebrates the wide variety of biscuits we can enjoy. American biscuits are small crusty bread rolls often served at breakfast or served on the side with meals. In the UK the word biscuit is used for what is know as cookies in the US.
Today is the day to settle down with a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy one of your favorites.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If you’re not in the parade, you watch the parade. That’s life.
Mike Ditka
It’s a Monday kind of Tuesday here. With the holiday weekend it’s hard to remember exactly what day it is. But really it is truly Tuesday today.
DS#6 and family went to a parade yesterday and the scouts in the family marched in it too. That is what the pictures are of today. Tomorrow I’ll show you what I got up to on Memorial Day.
It was another usually warm day for us with temps in the 90’s. But the sun was shinning and I think everyone was glad to be out and about. We have had way to much indoor time and now we can finally enjoy the great outdoors. Some of us much differently than others.
It is looking like I’d better mow the yard today as rainy days are headed our way for the next few days according to the weather channel. The good news is that all of the puddles in the yard have finally dried out.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual
Henry David Thoreau
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6020. for the great outdoors
6021. for a wonderful Memorial Day weekend
6022. for sunny days they always make me smile
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Remember, people only rain on your parade because they’re jealous of your sun and tired of their shade.

Here in Newfoundland, Britian's last North American colony, we have crackers (Ritz, saltenes, etc) and biscuits (sweeter crackers or thin cookies) and baking soda biscuits or "buns" (like you're showing). Confusing huh! I remember asking my 1st international student from Colombia the first day she was with us if she was hungry. She asked for a cookie - I gave her a homemade chocolate chip: no, that wasn't right. She said "a little bread" - I gave her bread: no, that wasn't right. It wasn't until many weeks later when I offered her a digestive biscuit that she said "THIS was what I wanted! Happy Biscuit Day!
How fun for your family to march in a parade! I like all kind of biscuits; I'm glad for the frozen kind where you can only cook how many you want instead of a big tray of them that one might be tempted to eat :) Glad the sun is shining at least temporarily so you can enjoy some outside time!

How my parents loved a patriotic parade! Large or small, they'd be on the sidelines ... and I'm glad to see your son's family carrying on the tradition.
I'd heard good things about those biscuits - but forgot about them until now! I'm going to look for them at Food Outlet next time we go.
Its funny and interesting how different countries have different names for things! And yet they are all the same thing! Loved seeing your family photos here today Pam! You have a truly lovely family and it is very clear they have inherited your same joi de vivre! God bless! xoxo
