ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Save Your Hearing Day which is a reminder that our hearing is vital and needs to be protected.
Many hearing loss problems are avoidable. Hearing loss can result from a variety of reasons, including: health, genetic and environmental causes. Repeated long term exposure to loud noises can overtime cause hearing loss. It’s a good idea to wear good hearing protection when exposed to high decibel sounds like fireworks, loud dance clubs or concerts, motorcycles, snow mobiles and machinery.
To save your hearing turn down the volume. Leave behind the noise and visit peaceful places.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Seeing, hearing, feeling, are miracles and each part and tag of me is a miracle.
Walt Whitman
Although it’s minor, I do have a little trouble with my hearing. There are times that I totally miss what someone is saying. Other times I hear perfectly well. It comes and goes. They say some hearing loss occurs in most of us as we grow older. There are times too when I think I must have selective hearing as I tend to tune things out. But one thing I know about hearing, I’d miss it if I didn’t have it.
When you think about it, the fact that we can hear at all is a miracle and one that we take for granted. Each and every one of us uniquely and wonderfully made and we should never fail to appreciate what we have.
They say we have a chance rain again today and tomorrow so the house work continues. I still haven’t finished up my Spring cleaning and soon summer will be here.
On the bright side, I do have Easter all put away and my red white and blue seasonal decorations are out. Part of which you are seeing in the pictures today!
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I believe the greatest gift I can conceive of having from any one is to be seen, heard, understood and touched by them. The greatest gift I can give is to see, hear, understand, and touch another person.
Virginia Satir
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6026. for our ears, hearing is important
6027. for Spring cleaning, washing the dust of winter away
6028. for so many people in my life to love
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Talk little to hear much.
William Temple
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

My husband's hearing has declined rapidly these last couple years ... so much so, he must wear headphones to follow the television ... which, of course, precludes any conversation.
Because they're not covered by Medicare, hearing aids are out of the question right now. Meanwhile, I'm learning to weigh my words v. prattling on and on for no reason!
I know I've lost a bit of hearing; I think its because of having earphones in all day listening to my work. It is a good reminder for the young ones to make sure they don't have their music up super loud when they have on their own earphones. I think we all have a bit of selective hearing :)

I have some hearing loss too! It aggravates my kids. But I just tell them to wait their turn!
My hearing is not what it used to be.... in the least! But I'm hoping that maybe I'll miss out on much of the riff-raff of life that way. :-) Blessings~ Andrea
