ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Lost Sock Memorial Day which recognizes our drawer full of unmatched socks. There are few mysteries in life that are as perplexing as the mystery of the missing sock. No matter how hard you try to keep pairs of socks together, invariably one of them ventures out into the netherworld never to be found again.
We are encouraged to use this special day, to toss out all our unmatched socks. Or use the leftover socks as cleaning cloths or make sock monkeys.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
What is it about us human beings that we can’t let go of lost things?
Author Unknown
I am one of those people that have a drawer full of lost socks. I have occasionally found a sock in one of my pant legs, but for the most part it’s gone forever. Ha !
The lost and found department here at my house is always open. I’ve spent a lot of time in research. Searching again and again. It’s amazing how things go missing when it’s only me here and I have no one to blame but myself.
In the grand scale of things a lost sock is of little importance. So I don’t spend a lot of time looking for it’s mate. There are so many better things to do with my time.
We had a beautiful day yesterday. It wasn’t too hot nor was it cold. It was just right and I finally got outside and started mowing the grass. We’re to be a little warmer today and I hope to get finished. It’s wonderful to be outside and getting some much needed exercise.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
It’s the little things in life that matter the most. Appreciate what you have. Be grateful.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5960. for my lost and found department, always open
5961. for green grass to mow, at long last
5962. for a some much needed exercise,
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
It is not what you have lost, but what you have left that counts.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

I bet it smelled nice with the grass that was freshly mowed. It is always perplexing where that lost sock gets to. I think my step granddaughter solves the problem well. She likes to mix and match her socks, never wearing a pair that is the same. If we all did that, we wouldn't have to worry when one goes missing :)

What a funny Memorial Day! ... and who among us can't relate!
I just had to pause to remember. I think it's my left foot slightly smaller than the right. When I was wearing hose and heels to work, I'd cut up a stray sock and stuff a little up inside the front of my left shoe to keep my heel from slipping.
We don't spend a lot of time looking for lost socks here. I don't wear them very often so mine are never lost. And the teen girl doesn't care if her socks match or not. So there is never a lost sock. Just an extra.
