ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Police Officer’s Memorial Day which honors and remembers our local, state and federal police officers who gave their lives while on duty.
Police officers protect us 24/7 every day of the years. It’s sometimes a dangerous job. They know they are putting their lives at risk to make and keep us safe. Polices offices know the risks and accept them
Today and every day we should show our respect and appreciation for police officers everywhere.
Today is also Chocolate Chip Cookie day and the International Day of Families
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Rich or poor, we will keep together and be happy in one another.
Louisa May Alcott
I am very thankful for our brave policemen that do so much for us . Law enforcement is much more than issuing speeding tickets. They do everything from enforcing the law to preventing crime. We have police that patrol our community nightly checking to make sure we are safe.
In a completely different vein of thinking, I’d like to also recognize Chocolate chips today. They are an essential ingredient in a lot of delicious baked goods, especially chocolate chip cookies. So with out further ado, here’s a great recipe to make your own.
Saft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
4 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, beat sugars and butter till light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and eggs till well blended then add flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons full 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes till light golden brown. Cool about 1 minute then remove from cookie sheets.
Most children love chocolate chip cookies so I’d also like to say a little about the International Day of Families which was started by by the United Nations and celebrates the importance of families who are the center of society and provide a stable and supporting home for all ages.
In the perfect family, the members are joined by bonds of love, they help meet each others need. Of course no family is perfect , but a family that works together will show concern and encouragement for each other and they regularly try to make things better. It’s a day to celebrate your relatives everywhere.
Today’s pictures are of one of my granddaughter’s whom I call our little Precious One. The picture were just too cute not to share! What a joy she is to all of us.
Other things may change us, but we start and end with family.

I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The great gift of family life is to be intimately acquitted with people you might never even introduce your self to had life not done it for you .

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
It’s nice to have friends, but it’s better when your friends are family.
The Middle, Meet the Parents
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Kendall Hailey's quote is a wise observation ... one of those things that makes me pause and smile, "Oh, yeah!".
I try to remember to give thanks for our Police and peace officers every day. Why, I can't begin to imagine how it is they do what they do every day.
Your Precious One is soooo cute. How great someone thought to capture this on film!
Your Precious Little One is indeed so precious!! Great pictures of her!
Phoenix lost a policeman back on May 18, 2016 in the line of duty on a domestic violence call if I remember correctly. I try to pray for his family daily and for all first responders. They do a very noteworthy job that does involve so much risk.
Yum on the chocolate chip cookies! That looks like a great recipe too!
