Mothers Day is our opportunity to celebrate moms, wives, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, sisters and all the other people who have mothered us over the years.

Mother’s Day is always celebrated on the second Sunday in May.  It’s not a federal holiday, however it’s widely celebrated as a special day to honor all mothers and motherhood.  Together, lets honor the women who raised us and all the mothers who sacrificed for their children.

I do hope you all enjoy a wonderful Mothers Day!  I certainly am.  I am a happy mom! Although my own mother is no longer living, I remember her today and all she taught me.  She was a good cook and feeding people was one of her favorite things to do.  You never left her house hungry.

Today I’m honoring my own DD who is a mom and all my sweet DIL’s who are also moms and they are shown in the pictures starting with DD then DDIL#1 and counting …. to DDIL #6.

They are all wonderful mom’s and I’m a blessed mom to have them in my family too!  

Being a mother is one of the best gifts I’ve ever received.  My children have been in the greatest joy in my life and I love being a mom and a grand’ma’ too.  There is not a day that goes by that they aren’t in my thoughts and prayers.  

Although all my children are grown and have families of their own, they are still my babies.  Being a mom is one job that never ends.  We are always moms and they are always our children no matter how old they get.

I’m off to church today as always and hopefully some of my family will be there too.

DDIL #6 has asked for prayers for her sister and her sister’s husband who are going through a difficult time right now and really need prayer.  May the dear Lord bless and comfort them with needed help right now.  In Jesus name we pray.  Amen
