ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is National Memo Day. A memo is a note that reminds us of something important. That memo can be digital like an alarm on on a smart phone, or written on a sheet of paper. Often colorful post it notes are used to scribble memos on them. They are sent via email too.
The way to celebrate today is to write send or read a memo about something important you don’t want to forget.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
What you remember is yours to keep.
I write notes to myself, memos, all the time. If I don’t have it written down, I’ll probably not remember it. I even have a notes feature on my computer. I have a notebook on my desk too. I have to say writing memos is a great thing to do.
When I worked there were interoffice memos that went out to everyone so that everyone would remember an important date coming up or news that everyone needed to know.
These days email is a popular way to send out memos to the family on important dates coming up. Everyone is busy these days with all they have to do and it’s easier at times just to write an email.
The important thing is to read the notes, memos and emails. If they just sit in your in box, they don’t do any good unless they are read.
One of the biggest reasons for writing this newsy letter everyday is to keep everyone in touch with what is going on here at my house. I don’t get to talk with my family members or friends every day so I’ll often forget to let them know something important and this is my way of letting every one know just what is going on. So in some way this is a memo too.
I don’t always have anything important or new to say at all and way too often I do forget something, so today as usual I’m writing it all down.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Gratitude makes us feel bursting with delight, just to remember the gifts we have received. Thus we are doubly bless when we receive something—for the gift itself and later, in recall, the miracle of having been given it.
M. J. Ryan
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5996. for memos, they do help us to remember
5997. for family and friends
5998. for another new week and another chance to get it right
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Writing truly imprints the brain, helping you remember and apply the things you are trying to do.

A bit of love from someone dear…

I write a lot of memos or notes to myself, LOL. Only way indeed I can remember some things. Emails are so convenient, but it is sometimes nice to get a card or a letter via snail mail :)

A self-memo I like - Trust in God.
God bless.
Boy, I remember typing those Interoffice Memorandums! Before I retired, everyone in our organization had segued to sending Outlook evites. These days, the counters and refrigerator door are chock-full of notes written on brightly-colored, lined index cards.
OCD, perhaps, but whatever I write on has to have lines. :)
When I think of something, I quickly write it down on a tiny piece of white paper, scraps that I keep on my desk and beside my computer. My purse is full of these notes!
Sometimes, I can even read what I have written! LOL!
