If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
As you admire the wonderful things God has made today, remember you're one of them, wonderful inside and out. You are blessed, you are special, you are loved.

It’s a double birthday today. My youngest son and one of my granddaughters were born on the same day but 20 years apart. The picture at the top is of when he was 21 and she was one. That was quite a few years ago but still I keep the picture of the two of them. As you can see by the other pictures today, they’ve both changed a little.
Today is also the International Day of Acceptance is a day where people celebrate differences, focusing on people with disabilities. I think we all need to remember that we are all unique and different and have our own special abilities no matter who we are.
It’s looking like we’re to have a spring like weekend here with temps in the 50’s. The buds on the Star Magnolia tree out front look like they are about ready to pop out in bloom and I noticed some new shoots on the Iris plants coming up. They are a bit confused with this warm weather. We have a long way to go however before Spring arrives.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Cheese Lovers Day!
A day to savor and enjoy any of the hundreds of varieties of cheese. There certainly is no shortage of varieties. Depending upon what article you read, there is between 900 - 1,400 varieties of cheese, all classified by texture.
Eating cheese makes you feel gouda. So, don't be bleu. Eat some cheese today.
I use cheese a lot when cooking and here’s one of my favorite cheesy recipes:
BISQUICK QUICHE
1 to 2 c. fillings of your choice. Example broccoli, mushrooms, ham or bacon
1 c. shredded cheese
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 c. milk
1 c. Bisquick
4 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 10 inch pie plate or 8 inch square. Sprinkle fillings, onions and cheese in plate. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth and pour into pie plate over the fillings.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Note: If I use bacon I use cheddar cheese and if I use ham, I use swiss cheese.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
When you look at life through the eyes of gratitude, the world becomes a magical and amazing place.
Jennifer Gayle
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4588. for our Princess and DS#6, it’s their birthdays today
4589. for acceptance, we are all unique and special
4590. for cheese, good and good for you too
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
You are special and worth being cared about, loved, and accepted just as you are. Never, ever let anyone convince you otherwise.

Happy birthday to DDS#6 and Princess! I didn't realize she was that "old". Beautiful young woman! Wishing the best on their special day.
Always good to accept people, no matter what race, ability, etc. That's what God does, loves us just the way we are!

How fun to celebrate a double birthday-day!
Cheese is so wonderful, isn't it? Indeed, it makes one feel gouda! (Except the limburger stuff my dad used to love.) I didn't realize there were so many different varieties! There's a Kroger supermarket nearby that boasts an amazing selection of cheeses. I really want to try the espresso-crust. Oh, and the whiskey cheddar. Oh, don't get me started ...lol!
Beautiful pictures you share today of your birthday kids. Hope the day is wonderful for both of them!
Happy Birthday to your son and beautiful granddaughter. I saved your recipe and hope to fix it soon, thanks for sharing. Take care. Jean
Love all your photos Pam, what a beautiful family you have there. We are great cheese lovers over here and there a so many kinds. I have my favourites. Oddly enough it is some of the smelliest cheeses that taste the nicest! I love bisquick recipes. They are always keepers! God bless you! xoxo
PS - we are having a very mild winter also. My hydrangea is in bud and we have had midges in the garden today.
