Welcome May!
May is Foster Care Month, National Barbecue Month, National Bike Month, National Blood Pressure Month, National Hamburger Month, National Photograph Month, National Recommitment Month, National Salad Month and Older Americans Month
Today is May Day. The first of May is celebrated around the world. In many countries it is a celebration of spring and the coming of summer. It is celebrated with many spring flowers, many of them blooming right in your own backyard.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The world's favorite season is the spring.
All things seem possible in May.
Edwin Way Teale
May always makes me think of flowers. Very soon we’ll be seeing the Irises bloom, the Azalea bush will blossom and hopefully we’ll even see some rosebuds. I love how we have something different blooming here from April till October. It’s the months in-between when nothing grows or blooms that I find the hardest to bear. On the bright side we know that Spring always comes again.
The end of this month also starts our planting season. We have to wait till the threat of frost is gone. Hopefully that will come sooner than later.
The pictures today are of my May flowers growing here last year. We had a mild winter so everything should come back. There have been some winters so cold that my rose bush has nearly frozen out, but it is green and growing nicely right now.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday !

3822. for all the fragrance in the air, I love the smell of Spring!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

National Hamburger Month? Yay!
Growing up, my mother used to say I'd turn into a hamburger someday.
Well, 60-some years later, I'm still eating hamburger (sans bread) every day -- M-F and sometimes on weekends.
Happy May Day!
For me, May is the Blessed Mother's month... and always will be :-)
Such pretty flowers from past years! May is always an enjoyable month watching plants and flowers grow.
Betty
enjoy your week
