Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
It's Be a Millionaire Day! Today is the perfect opportunity to dream big and imagine what life would be like as a millionaire! While a million dollars isn't what it used to be, seeing a seven figure number in your bank account is still considered a major financial milestone.
The first multi millionaire in the United States was John Jacob Astor . Astor made his fortune in trade and later established the first trust in American history.
There are many different ways to celebrate Be a Millionaire Day. Invest money in a savings account or stock portfolio, or purchase a lottery ticket to try your luck!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If we could sell our experience for what they cost us, we'd all be millionaires.
Abigail Van Buren
I know that the chances of ever being a millionaire are very slim, but I am wealthy in ways that money can’t buy so I’m content. Having money can buy a lot of things but they are not the things that count. Money can’t buy happiness, health or love. Money can put food on the table but it cannot provide a loving home.
This coming weekend is going to be a busy one for me. Tomorrow is a party for our little X Factor’s 4th birthday. We’re hoping it doesn’t rain because his mom and dad have lots of fun games planned for the little ones to play outdoors.
Sunday is the baptism of my newest grandchild, our little Darling. We will have to travel just a bit to get there but thanks to DS#5 and his wife, I don’t have to do the driving.
Today I’ve got some things to get ready for the birthday party and I also hope to spend some more time outdoors. I’ve been able to get a little yard work done the past few days, but there is more needing done. The pictures today are of the Irises blooming ! Just another benefit of having a yard to care for.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday !
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Pizza Party Day!
It’s always a party when pizza is involved. My favorite way to make pizza here at home is French Bread Pizza. I simply take a loaf of French Bread, slice in two and spread with some pizza sauce, add the toppings like pepperoni and cheese and bake.
French Bread Pizza is beyond easy. It only takes about 20 minutes to make! You don’t have to stress about making pizza dough, the French bread is the crust!
1 loaf French Bread
Pizza sauce, homemade or store bought
Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Your favorite pizza toppings
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice French bread loaf in half lengthwise and place on a large baking sheet. Evenly spread pizza sauce over the bread. Top with cheese and desired toppings. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted. Cut and serve!
This is fun for a pizza party. Everyone can make their own pizza with their favorite toppings!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I don't know much about being a millionaire, but I'll bet I'd be darling at it.
Dorothy Parker
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3874. for all the things money cannot buy, family, friends and faith.
3875. for pizza and parties, they go together
3876. for a yard to work in, it’s much better than being indoors
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Everyone's a millionaire where promises are concerned.
Ovid
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

Your Iris is just beautiful Pam! Congrats on the Baptism. I hope all goes according to plan! I love thinking about what I could do if I had a million dollars. Oh the people I could help if I ever had that much money. Afraid it will never happen however, but that's life. You have to learn to appreciate and love what you already have I guess. That is where you find joy! In wanting what you already have! Have a great weekend and safe trip to and from the Baptism! xoxo
Such pretty irises! They really do bring color to your yard! Sounds like a fun weekend ahead for you and your family! I bet if you asked a lot of millionaires, a lot of them would not be happy and content. So true money doesn't buy happiness. Just want enough to take care of me and my family and to help others as well :)
Yum on the pizza!
betty
I'd like to try being a millionaire. If only for a few minutes! But you are right, we are all millionaires in one way or another!!
