Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
July 2nd is I Forgot Day. It's an entire holiday dedicated to remembering what we’ve forgotten and remembering what not to forget in the future. Some people view today as an opportunity to express their regrets for forgetting something, and to make amends.
I Forgot Day gives you the chance to make up for forgetting birthdays, anniversaries, and even those days you think you might forget in the future. Apologize for anything you’ve missed, let slip or otherwise forgotten!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again?
Due to having a calendar that keeps me on track, I don’t think I’ve missed any birthdays or anniversaries lately. If I have, I’m sorry that I forgot. I do try, but my family keeps growing by leaps and bounds.
There have been days in my life that I’d like to forget about, hopefully this won’t be one of them. Most of my days are good ones to keep in the memory bank.
It seems the weather forecast has taken a turn for the better here. We now only have a very slight chance of rain here and the weekend should be mostly sunny. Great news for all the 4th of July picnickers.
The pictures today are from our visit to the Duck Tape Festival in June, It was a hot and humid day then for sure ! The theme this year was tropical and the float, palm trees and all, was made from duck tape. The gray man who looks like a statue in a couple of the pictures was real and the grand children had fun getting their picture taken with him. There was lots of good food and carnival rides for the young too. I had frozen cheesecake on a stick that was dipped in cherry sauce and sprinkled with nuts. Mmmmm good.
I hope you all have A GREAT day ! HAPPY THURSDAY !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Blessed are those who give without remembering. And blessed are those who take without forgetting.
Bernard Meltzer
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2907. for my memories, most of the good ones
2908. for my calendar, it keeps me on track
2909. for sunny weather ahead, I almost forgot what it’s like
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Always remember to forget the things that made you sad
But never forget to remember the blessing that come each day.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

How cute with the duct tape festival! That man did look like a statue in that first picture of him. I never had frozen cheesecake like you did, Ma, but it sounds yummy! Glad to hear the weather will be fine for picnics this Fourth of July! I have to admit the older I'm getting the more I forget, LOL. Not big things, but definitely I need to put things on a shopping list if I want to remember to buy them :)
