Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Get Out of the Doghouse Day. If you are in trouble with somebody you care about, today is the day to Get Out Of The Doghouse, It's like a ‘get out of jail free card’ from the game Monopoly. Use it to apologise, mend hurts and get back to normal.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Any good apology has 3 parts:
I’m sorry
It’s my fault
What can I do to make it right?
Most people forget the third part.
I’ve been in the doghouse many times and it does feel good to get out. Nothing makes us feel quite so bad as to have someone we care about mad at us. It is a good idea to have a reminder to say I’m sorry. The longer you let someone stay mad, the harder it is to mend those hurts. If you’ve been snappy with someone you love, been harsh with them for something that wasn’t their fault, or just made someone feel bad, step up and do the right thing to make amends. Don’t let too much time go by before you make it better.
I’m sorry, but this may not be the right date for this holiday. Some say it’s to be the 3rd Monday in July, but none the less I think it’s a worthwhile holiday to celebrate so I’m posting it here today.
Life is to short, make amends while there is still time.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday !

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY

Unknown
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

I really believe this but it is hard to continually overlook someone who is brutally rude. This is something I am dealing with right now. I seek God to show me what to do.
Hope your day is blessed.

I like that advice about what a good apology should consist of with the 3 parts. I find it is easier to just say "I'm sorry" as quickly as I realize I've done a wrong then stew over it and cause hard feelings to grow.
