Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
On this day, the fourth Sunday in July, we celebrate National Parents Day. It’s a special day to honor mothers and fathers. And, its a time to celebrate the family structure and family values. The family unit is an important structure for the health of children, and the nation. That structure, and those values, are established and nurtured by your parents.
Parents’ Day promotes the message that the role of the parent is important in human development, which requires investment, focus, and commitment. In 1994 President Bill Clinton signed into law a resolution adopted by the US Congress to establish the fourth Sunday of every July as Parents' Day.
To all parents out there, Happy Parents Day !

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.
Joyce Brothers
I’ve been blessed to be a parent for quite a few years now and am very thankful for the opportunity to have a large family. It’s an honor and a privilege that not every one has. My family is one of the most important things in my life.
When you become a parent it is a job you take on for life. Every day it’s something new and every day you learn a little more. There is much we need to teach our children and sometimes our children teach us a lot about life too. It’s give and take all the way when you have a family.
I don’t think you can ever love a child too much. Unconditional love is part of being a parent. You always love them, no matter what.
It looks like another quiet day here at my house. As usual, I’ll be off to church and as usual prayers will be said for all my loved ones. I know that ultimately we are all in the Father’s Hands.
The pictures today are of my children with their families.
I hope you all have a RESTFUL and relaxing Sunday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.
Desmond Tutu
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2979. for the opportunity to be a parent
2980. for my children, they are a gift
2981. for my parents, where would I be without them
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOUN ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

How cool with these pictures of your kids and their families; I'm thinking from the reunion? So true about always being a parent for the rest of one's life. A wonderful thing to be too!

This makes me realize that, like you, I'm so incredibly blessed ... my son and his wife have never lost sight of their responsibilities as parents. How I wish this message was taken more seriously by more young men and women.
What a lovely family you have Pam! You are so blessed! I think one of the greatest rewards as a mother is to see your children all grown up and happy with families of their own! Have a super Monday and week! xoxo
