Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Workaholic Day. It recognizes the guy, or gal, who works all of the time, even during holidays. While just about everyone is enjoying the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the Workaholic is off working on some project. He can't relax. It's not in his nature. He's addicted to work. It's not necessarily work out of need. It's work because there either is work to be done, or there's a perceived work project to do.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgment. Go some distance away, because work will be in perspective and a lack of harmony is more readily seen.
Leonardo DaVinci
I do know a few people that just can’t seem to relax, they have to busy doing something all the time. I’ve really never been like that and now that I’m older, I work less and relax more than ever. I do what I can but when the body says rest, I do.
Work can be relaxing to some. If you love what you are doing it isn’t really work at all. The important thing is that we don’t want our work to become more important than the time time we spend with family and friends. There are only so many hours in a day and it’s our choice how we use them.
Sundays are always a day of rest for me. Hopefully I’m going to get off to church a little later on this morning and after that I plan on doing what I know how to do best and that is relaxing in the rocker with a good book. Sounds like a great way to spend the afternoon to me
The pictures today are of the Poppies blooming here just in time for the 4th of July.
I hope you all have a relaxing and restful Sunday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2916. for Sundays, a great day to rest and relax
2917. for a good book to read
2918. for an hour in church, the most refreshing time of my week
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY

Your photos are beautiful!!
I will probably pull weeds today, which I find relaxing.
I have a difficult time sitting still for very long. I am constantly thinking of something that needs to be done as I am trying to relax...lol.
Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon!
Big hugs to you.

For sure, don't we all know someone who just can't seem to relax and let go?
Sounds to me like you've your priorities well in order!
Pretty flowers in the pictures, Ma! It is always good to have some time for rest, I think some workaholics find that out later in their lives when their health starts to fail because they didn't give their bodies a chance to rest.
