Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Cousin's Day which honors your Aunt and Uncle's kids. They are those great kids who are likely close to your age, and endure the countless family get togethers with you. Remember too that if you have cousins, that means your cousins have cousins. And, that's you! Therefore, today is your day too.
Celebrating should be nothing but fun. Get together with your cousins. Hang out, just chill, or do anything you want to do...... as long as its a fun time spent with your cousins.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A cousin is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost.
Marion C. Garretty
It’s an odd coincidence that yesterday I spent some time with three of my aunts. I didn’t see any of their children but heard some news about them over our lunch out. They are my dad’s sisters and one of them is in town for a visit.
It’s a rare thing anymore for me to see any of my cousins even though I do have a lot of them. When we were younger, we would visit each other often, and I’m thankful for all the good memories I have of those times.
I think that it was all those good memories that made me want to have a large family of my own. Now my grandchildren have plenty of cousins to share good times with too. Thanks to the family reunion this summer I have plenty of pictures of them so that is what I’m sharing today. Many many wonderful memories.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Cousins are those childhood playmates who grow up to be forever friends.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2973. for aunts and uncles and cousins too
2974. for a lunch out with my sisters and two of my aunts
2975. for wonderful memories of good times

that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters

That was nice, Ma, to see three of your aunts. They must be spry to be traveling about like this! We had a lot of cousins growing up since my mom came from a family of 10. We got together a lot before we moved and then would only see some of them when we went back to visit. Since my mom was the youngest and got married later in life, we were the youngest of the cousins. My sister still goes to the family reunions when the family has them, but I haven't seen any cousins in years.
betty
We don't have many family gatherings......all my relatives live so far away.
Hope you have a blessed weekend. It is raining here again....guess we are going to have to build an ark. Haha.

Because my father was airforce, we did not get to know many of our cousins very well when we were growing up. We have thankfully been able to know a few of them as adults. It's lovely to get together at family gatherings and compare stories. Sadly now that I live in the UK, that doesn't happen very often. Have a wonderful Saturday! xoxo
