Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is No Diet Day. A day dedicated to raising awareness of how unhealthy dieting can be harmful, or respecting and accepting body types, and promoting healthy eating rather than dieting. No Diet Day aims to help to teach people to have a healthy relationship with food, and to ditch restrictive diets and the harmful results they often have, such as anorexia and body type perceptions in the media. It encourages us to recognize that people come in all shapes and sizes....... and that's okay.
Remember the old saying: You're body is your temple. In your efforts to make your temple a thin one, do so in a safe and healthy manner.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I'm on a seafood diet. I see food and I eat it.

I don’t diet and eat pretty much what I like. Thankfully what I like is mostly good for me, if you don’t count my daily diet of donuts for breakfast. Eating a well balance meal is important so that we get all the nutrients and vitamins a healthy body requires.
I have learned to be comfortable in my own skin and I think people should appreciate themselves for what they are, and the body they have. I believe that if we ended this idea that in order for a person to feel good about themselves they have to make another person feel bad about themselves, we’d all feel better about ourselves. We aren’t supposed to all look the same. We were each created beautifully and unique.
Our body is a sacred vessel that allows us to experience the world. It should be given love, laughter, nourishment, and, yes, a little indulgence every now and then. I look at it this way - there is more of me to love. Ha !
You are all beautiful inside and out, and you should remind yourself of that every day.
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday !

So true to take the emphasis away from dieting and focus it on healthy eating instead. I think that's why Weight Watchers does so well; it teaches you how to eat healthy and with foods you can continue to eat through your lifetime.

I'm on a No Diet Day every day! :-)
I am so blessed to love veggies and salads. I don't drink sodas at all....ever. As I age, I really consider everything I place into my body. I want to feel good as long as possible.
Happy Mother's Day, sweet friend!

Food has always been an issue for me. I have Crohn's Disease...so I deal with being able to eat, and then NOT being able to eat. Feast or famine.
It is what it is.
I admire you for not worrying about it.
I hope you have a perfect Mother's Day. God Bless You!!
