Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Each year on the first Saturday in May, it is National Scrapbook Day. Also known as National Scrapbooking Day, on this day thousands of people get together all over the country to celebrate with scrapbooking parties and share their talents with others. Scrapbooking dates back to the 15th century.
Scrapbooking is a hobby of preserving memories and at the same time it provides a strong social network. Scrappers, as they are called, get together and scrapbook at each others homes, local scrapbook stores, scrapbooking conventions, retreat centers and have even gone on cruises. Together they share tips and ideas and enjoy the social outlet.
Whatever you decide to do today, we hope your day is inspirational, creative and full of fun…..enjoy National Scrapbooking Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Just as pieces stitched together in a quilt warm our bodies, scrapbooks bind together memories to warm our hearts.

I really need to do some scrapbooking. I have several albums just waiting for me to work on. I have lots of things saved to put in them. The ones I got already have pages created and also came with stickers and things to include in the pages.
You can buy your own and designed them anyway you want, but I took the easy way out. With such a large family you can imagine I have lots of photos to use. Most of my snapshots are on my computer, but certainly not all of them. I also keep cards from special occasions to put in my scrapbooks too.
This is a fun way to keep your memories handy and make them easy to share with others too. It’s a good thing to do when the weather outside is rainy and gloomy. Today is supposed to be a sunny one for us so I may put this task aside and save it for the beginning of next week when we’re to get some showers.
I hope you all have a super Saturday !
So many pictures, so little time!

I have seen some wonderful scrap booking pages people have done. It could be a good hobby to do now in my life as most of my pictures are just in boxes :)

I used to have such a passion for scrapbooking. (I wasn't real artistic or crafty, but I enjoyed it just the same.)
I lots of ways, I think I've let the computer become a substitute ... or a crutch even.
