THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I am having an out of money experience.

One thing I know for sure is that you don’t have to be a millionaire in order to feel like one. I don’t have a lot of money but I’m wealthy in many other ways. I feel like the riches person in the world.
I am a big advocate of following your dreams and pushing yourself to grow and to get ahead in the game of life, but if this is the only life we get, we do should do our best to enjoy it. Why not take the time to enjoy the simpler things in life, the things that don’t cost you 10 to 30 years of your life. Sometimes the the life you may be wishing for yourself is not a life that you will actually enjoy.
We really don’t need a million dollars to feel like a millionaire because feeling like a millionaire is no different than how we could feel right now if we would so choose. Don’t confuse being a millionaire for being content, happy and at peace. Choose those things that don’t come with a price tag but are the things that make us truly rich.
The most important things in my life are my faith, my family and my friends. They are what make me happy and make me feel like a millionaire.
I found this recipe for a Millionaire Dessert to share in honor of today:
MILLIONAIRE DESSERT
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
1 c. powdered sugar
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
1 pkg. chocolate instant pudding mix
3 c. milk
1 c. pecans
6 oz. cream cheese
12 oz. Cool Whip
Mix butter, nuts and flour thoroughly. Spread in 9 inch x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar and beat well, then stir in 2 cups Cool Whip. Spread over cooled crust. Set aside. Mix puddings with milk. When thickened, spread over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining Cool Whip. Sprinkle a few nuts on top and refrigerate. Perfect for the warmer days ahead!
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.
Frederick Keonig
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2778. for a simple life that makes me happy
2779. for the truly important riches: faith family and friends
2780. for a partly cloudy day, no rain
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
No matter how hard you hug your money, it never hugs back.

That sounds like a good dessert! I think I would not like to have a lot of money but be one that does pursue my dreams. I think just having the right amount of money is a good thing; keeps us more content and trusting in God.

The way we feel inside is worth a million dollars to me. Having peace and being serene.....gifts from God.
I love that little snippet of the Fall wreath...so darling.
Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Happy Millionaires day Pam! I don't have to have money to feel like a million bucks, which is probably a good thing! I doubt I will ever be wealthy. Truth be told, having worked for multi-millionaires for a number of years in their home, I can say that Todd and I were always a bazillion times happier than they were! I did not ever want to trade places with them for an instant. (Although a tiny bit of their money would have been nice.) That recipe looks like one I used to make now and again when I lived in Canada. It's very tasty! I don't make it now because you can't get all of the ingredients over here. I should try to make it and adapt what I can find. Food for thought! Have a great Wednesday!
