Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Celebrated each year on May 30th, it is Water a Flower Day. It’s that yearly reminder to show our flowers how much we appreciate them for their sumptuous colors, their fragrant blossoms and their medicinal properties.
The best way to celebrate Water a Flower Day is by giving all of your household and garden plants an aquatic treat. You’ll be a better person for it and you’d make the world a brighter, sweeter and more colorful place. So don't forget to sprinkle a little love on a flower today and quench its thirst.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11
Although we’ve had many cloudy days with rain predicted, it is on the dry side here and I have been watering the flowers.
Just as it is necessary to water the flowers, I think that sometimes it is important to water our body, mind and souls too. The challenges of our lives can often drain our natural resources, leaving our bodies tired and our spirits dry.
Each and every day we should try to do just one thing that lifts our spirits. It may only last a few seconds, but notice it, treasure it, and appreciate that moment.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made, and forgot to put a soul into.
Henry Beecher
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2808. for flowers that continually bloom here April through October
2809. for water, it refreshes all of us
2810. for the books I received for Mothers Day all about flowers.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Looking for and enjoying beauty is a way to nourish the soul. the universe is in the habit of making beauty. There are flowers and songs, snowflakes and smiles, acts of great courage, laughter between friends, a job well done, the smell of fresh-baked bread. Beauty is everywhere
Matthew Fox
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Great advice, as always!
Because water's at such a premium out here, we've tried cutting back on the auto sprinklers. Just yesterday, DH was hand-watering his hibiscus plants ... that's a first!
I so agree about watering ourselves and refreshing ourselves like we water our plants and flowers to refresh them. I think we need to make sure we are giving our bodies what they need, sleep, rest, proper food, etc., as well as our minds and our souls with spending time praying, reading the Bible, etc.
