Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
August 25th, Kiss and Make Up Day, is a great way to end a spat. Whether a sibling dispute, a marital tiff, a spat with a best friend or a clash with the parents; whether it’s about a lie, a misunderstanding, relationships or the state of the kitchen, today it’s time to kiss and make up.
Annoying habits and irritability aside, it’s good to have the people you love around you. So remember not to take loved ones for granted and appreciate the good stuff in your relationship. Top it all off with a big smooch and you’ve fully embraced the spirit of the day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I’m just a simple guy, I live from day to day. A ray of sunshine melts my frown and blows my blues away.
Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Bonham, Out On The Tiles
KISS is an acronym for 'Keep it simple, stupid' as a design principle noted by the U.S. Navy in 1960. The KISS principle states that most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complicated; therefore simplicity should be a key goal in design and unnecessary complexity should be avoided.
I don’t believe that any of us is stupid, the word stupid is not in my vocabulary, but I do believe in the simple life and try to avoid the daily dramas that make it more complicated than necessary. Sometimes our relationships with others can become very hard to understand. But one thing I’ve learned is that we should love each other. It’s as simple and easy as that.
Keeping life simple is about relying on the basics. Basics like honesty, respect, trust, happiness and friendship go a long way to clearing out the clutter that gets in the way. Happiness is a state of mind and keeping one's life simple plays an important part.
Life is a complicated affair. Too much to do; too little time to do it in. Too many demands; too few resources. Too much commotion and busyness; too little peace and quiet. By living more simply, we shorten our list of stuff to care about, which gives us the chance to care more about what and who is left.
Less can be More.
I hope you all have a great start to this new week! Happy Monday!

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Remembering God’s provision for yesterday gives hope and strength for today
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached 1900 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.

I like the KISS thought, keeping things simple. Its so true, Ma, we can complicate things a lot. I'm going to try to aim to be more simple in life planning.
I like the idea of a day to kiss and make up and get over differences too :)
Have a super Monday!

MA, in my 64th year, I have come to realize that keeping it simple is part of what it's all about. Thanks for the reminder!
