Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Tuesday of the first full week of May is National Teachers Day
Everybody who does something good, important, and valuable deserves a day in their honor. Teachers certainly are among the most deserving. This day honors those hard working, patient and understanding people whom we entrust our children to. Teachers mold our kids in a positive direction, affecting who they are and who they become. From Kindergarten through college, teachers are an important part of our children's lives.
So let's give them their due. If you happen to be a teacher reading this, I personally offer my thanks. The future of America is in your hands.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.
Henry Adams
There are lots of teachers in my family. They are all what I call good teachers and love being able to make a difference in the lives of young people. But sometimes we forget about the single mom next door, who can teach us perseverance; the old man walking slowly in front of us, who can teach us patience; the child playing in the mud, who can teach us that a little dirt isn't the end of the world.
We can also gain wisdom from others' mistakes, thoughts, ideas and actions. There are learning opportunities galore all around us, but we need to be open and willing to receive and act upon them.
I like to think I learn something new every day and I believe you never get too old to learn something. And when I think about it nature is an education all by itself. That’s what my pictures are of today. All the beautiful bulbs we planted survived the winter and are blooming beautifully just now.
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!

COUNTING MY GIFTS
A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart.
Author Unknown
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached 1600 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1643. for all the teachers in my life
1644. for the opportunity to learn something new every day
1645. for books that teach us more than we could ever experience ourselves
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.
William A. Ward
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

"Real Teachers"... I have never read that, and it's so very true! Thanks, MA!
Such pretty buds growing! I truly admire those that can teach since I'm not sure I could do it well in a classroom the size of students they sometimes have, but so true, not only teachers, but so many others we encounter can teach us something.
