Today is May Ray Day.  Weather permitting, use it as an excuse to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. Find ways to soak up some rays by inviting friends for BBQs, having picnics in the park, or taking a trip to the sea-side or just lounging in the sun on the patio !  If perhaps the weather does not cooperate and it is cloudy or rainy where you live, the alternative would be to look at photographs of sunshine and imagine yourself feeling the warmth of the suns rays.  I do that a lot it seems.  

Everything just seems better when the sun is shining!

If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side

Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.

Today is supposed to be mostly sunny and our high is supposed to be in the upper 60’s.  I’m not complaining about that for sure.  After the wet and very soggy week we had last week, today is a blessing for sure!  

I’m posting a few pictures today of this past weekend’s celebration with our Princess for her Confirmation.  It was a chilly but mostly rain free day and getting together with family is always a delight.

Summer is just around the corner and it won’t be long before we turn the air conditioning on full blast. Many people find this beautiful time of year between Winter’s last frost and the dog days of Summer the most appealing time for outdoor activities and enjoyment. The beauty and mildness of Spring always reenergizes my spirits.

At this point any thing that boosts my energy level is appreciated.  

I hope you all have a happy Monday and a great start to the new week ahead.

The Value of a Smile

A Smile is nature's best antidote for discouragement.

It brings rest to the weary,

Sunshine to those who are frowning,

And hope to those who are hopeless and defeated.

A Smile is so valuable that it can't be bought,

Begged, borrowed, or taken away against your will.

You have to be willing to give a Smile away,

Before it can do anyone else any good.

So, if someone is too tired or grumpy to flash you a Smile,
Let him have one of yours anyway.

Nobody needs a Smile as much,
As the person who has none to give….

Smile your smile for today...

Who needs some sunshine on a cloudy day...

No matter how bad it seems at the time,
It shall pass in a few moments,
And.....

A Smile is simply a frown upside down...

So, stand on your head and look in the mirror...

Once you see how silly you look... a frown turns into Smile...

COUNTING MY GIFTS

I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a  year and have now reached over 1600 gifts.  On my way to 2000.  I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting.  There is always, always something to be thankful for.

1683.  for our sweet Princess, a young woman now and just beautiful

1684.  for lots and lots of pictures of sunny days

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

 

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

 

Lord, hold our troops in

your loving hands.

Protect them as they protect us.

Bless them and their families for the

selfless acts they perform for us

in our time of need. I ask this in the

name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters

and Paramedics and EMT's
