If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
May 14th is the Full Flower Moon. Flowers spring forth in abundance this month. Some Algonquin tribes knew this full Moon as the Corn Planting Moon or the Milk Moon.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Where flowers bloom so does hope.
Lady Bird Johnson
Flowers do seem to be in abundance around my house right now. The warmer weather finally brought out the lilac blooms. The pictures today show them as they were just starting to bloom this past weekend. They are a little fuller now. Lilacs are very fragrant and bring on a sense of well being and optimism.
It hardly seems possible we have another full moon here and that nearly a month has passed since the last one. Time has certainly sped up for me since the weather turned nice. The tulips and daffodils are starting to fade away but there will be more blooms around here to take their place. Over the years we’ve found that there is always something blooming outside.
A cold front has moved in here so we are to be cooler today. We had a record breaking 88 degrees here yesterday. It really is unusual for us to be that warm this time of year.
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
PRAYER REQUESTS
DDIL#3 wrote that our Star leaves for Washington D.C with his school class today and will be back Friday night. Could you please send a prayer request for him for a safe trip and that he comes home safely? This is his first time away from home by himself.
One of my granddaughters, our Princess, is also on a class trip with her school this week too. Please join me in praying for a safe trip for both of them and all traveling this time of year. It is such a beautiful time of year and there is much to see.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Spring is God's way of saying, 'One more time!’
Robert Orben
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1600 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1667. for the beautiful lilac bush in my backyard
1668. for hope that never ends
1669. for another full moon, I’ll be hoping you all see it too!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Never yet was a springtime, when the buds forgot to bloom.
Margaret Elizabeth Sangster
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

How fun with the class trips! My kids' schools didn't do that, but I remember visiting Washington DC about this time and so many class trips were there from all different east coast states. I like when you tell us what the full moons are called; we should have a clear night to be able to see it here. Will send up a prayer for travel mercies!
