HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
On this wonderful occasion of Mothers Day 2014, we ought to thank our beautiful mothers and mums all around for all they have done and are still doing till this date. The pictures today are of some of the wonderful MOM’s in my family. My daughter and some of my daughters in law. I’m sending the best of wishes to you all for a very HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
All mothers are physically handicapped. They have only two hands.
Anonymous
One of the greatest joys in my life has been to be a mother. There is nothing I’ve enjoyed more than having a large family. My family really has been my life. I’ve been a mom for over 40 years now. That is over half my lifetime anyway. My goal in life was always to be a wife and a mom. I succeeded in my goal. I was married to a wonderful man and have 7 beautiful children. What a gift they have all been to me!
DDIL#1
I’m not saying that being a mom is easy, it’s not, but all the work and tears too, have been worth it. I really couldn’t think of any more worthwhile career. I worked for many years, but that was just a job, my career was being a good wife and a good mom. When I look back on my life, I feel I did a pretty good job of it and have no regrets.
Our children are a gift we have for just a little while to hold tight in our arms, but they are forever in our hearts. You can only do your best to teach and guide them and then give them wings to be adults on their own, but we remain moms for a lifetime. Our babies are still our babies no matter how old they are.

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Most of all the other beautiful things in life come by twos and threes by dozens and hundreds. Plenty of roses, stars, sunsets, rainbows, brothers, and sisters, aunts and cousins, but only one mother in the whole world.
Kate Douglas Wiggin
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1600 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1658. for mothers everywhere, where would any of us be without them.
1659. for wonderful memories and the chance to make new ones
1660. for the wonderful opportunity to be a mother
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

What My Mother Taught Me
My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE:
If you're going to kill each other, do it outside -- I just finished cleaning!
My mother taught me RELIGION:
You better pray that will come out of the carpet."
My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL:
If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!
My mother taught me LOGIC:
Because I said so, that's why!
My mother taught me FORESIGHT:
Be sure you wear clean underwear in case you're in an accident.
My mother taught me IRONY:
Keep laughing and I'll give you something to cry about.
My mother taught me about OSMOSIS:
Shut your mouth and eat your supper!
My mother taught me about CONTORTIONISM:
Will you look at the dirt on the back of your neck!
My mother taught me about STAMINA:
You'll sit there 'til all that spinach is finished.
My mother taught me about WEATHER:
It looks as if a tornado swept through your room.
My mother taught me how to solve PHYSICS PROBLEMS:
If I yelled because I saw a meteor coming toward you, would you listen then?
My mother taught me about HYPOCRISY:
If I've told you once, I've told you a million times -- don't exaggerate!!
My mother taught me THE CIRCLE OF LIFE:
I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.
My mother taught me about BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION:
Stop acting like your father!
My mother taught me about ENVY:
"here are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do!

What sweet picture of the DDIL's and your own DD and their family/children. It is neat too that you had a goal to be a wife and a mom and that came first over a career, even though you did work. One lady at our church today had been a mother for over 73 years :)
Happy Mother's Day!
