Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Brothers and Sisters Day is a day to cherish your siblings. Sure, there's times when you love your brothers and sisters. And, there's times when you want to disown them. All in all, having a brother and or a sister or two is invaluable. The older you get, the more you learn to appreciate them. And just in case you are an only child there is a special day set aside just for you in April.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I don’t believe an accident of birth makes people sisters or brothers. It makes them siblings, gives them mutuality of parentage. Sisterhood and brotherhood is a condition people have to work at.
Maya Angelou
Although I already celebrated Siblings Day on April 10, I'm also celebrating Brothers and Sisters Day on May 2nd. Family is too important to ignore
From the moment we are born until the moment we take our last breath, siblings have known us, and put up with us, our entire lives. Relationships with siblings often last longer than many marriages!
Our family is definitely the most important group of people in our lives as we grow up. A strong family bond, together with a good set of values is also a valuable ingredient for the good of society. Healthy marriages and families are the foundation of thriving communities.
Family bonds are tied with true love, and true love involves attention, awareness, discipline, effort, and being able to care about someone and sacrifice for them. You know that your family will be there watching out for you through thick and thin. Nothing and no one else will give you that. Not your career. Not your boss. Not your clients. Not money. Not fame.
The pictures today are of just some of my children and grandchildren with their brothers and sisters. I’m very thankful for all of my family !
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached 1600 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1631. for my two sisters, they are always there for me.
1632. for families, they are one of our most important gifts
1633. for pictures to share, they capture some wonderful memories
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Help your brother's boat across, and your own will reach the shore.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Such cute pictures; I liked the first one; definitely brother/sister love there! Definitely true that our siblings know us longer than our spouses do and there were times in earlier years I did want to strangle my brother/sister, but now I do love the times we get to spend together ;)

Delightful photos! For some reason or other I've been so aware of my brother and sister--both of whom are deceased--these past few months.
I'm the only one living in my family I miss all my siblings. Great entry and pretty pictures of your family.
