TODAY'S THOUGHT
A child can always teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires
Paulo Coelho

TODAY’S QUOTE
It is such a very simple thing to walk through life with my hands open, my eyes open, listening, alive in all my five senses to God breaking in again and again on my daily life

IT’S WEDNESDAY !!
Over the Hump Day!
Wednesdays are usually good days and I’m counting on that today. I am glad to get past the beginning of the week and now on to the end of the work week. The weather man says the rest of the week will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy through Sunday. That sounds like a great forecast to me. I need more sunshine. The heat and humidity should give way to blue skies and 80 degree temps.
There is not much going on here for sure. Ordinary days are the best. With the middle of August approaching thoughts are turning toward fall and back to school. The pumpkins in the farmers fields on the way to work are starting to turn orange already. There are two places I pass each day that will be selling pumpkins. They always have a huge stack of them in the fall and those fields I pass probably supply them.
Of course we still have a little over a month of summer left so I’m counting on those sunny and warm days for awhile yet.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him. Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. The servant fell on his knees before him. "Be patient with me," he begged, "and I will pay back everything." The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go
Mathew 18:23-27
If we who have received God's extravagant mercy can't find a way to at least begin to offer forgiveness to our fellow servants, then we deserve to fall under his judgment, don't we? God looks for reasons to forgive -- not condemn, so he knows when forgiveness is maybe just a little slow to come while we work out the hurt we've received. That's not what Jesus is talking about here. He's talking about a willful holding on to bitterness. But despite the harsh ending, the parable's full of hope: there is forgiveness from God for the worst of our debts; and in receiving that forgiveness, we must find the way to extend it to those in debt to us
