TODAY'S THOUGHT
He is the happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for today: Before I make a quick judgment or hasty decision, I will turn within to the all-knowing presence of God. Knowing that guidance may lead me in a direction I had not anticipated, I remain alert to the promptings of Spirit. I will trust the unconditional love of God
TODAY’S QUOTE
I have always looked at life as a voyage, mostly wonderful, sometimes frightening. In my family and friends I have discovered treasure more valuable than gold.—

IT’S FRIDAY !!
AND
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DDIL#3!
May the dear Lord bless you always!
This is another early birthday wish as her birthday is actually this weekend while I’m away. August is a busy month in our family with 3 birthdays and a wedding anniversary. Lots to celebrate.
Next month we have 2 more birthdays and a wedding anniversary. Happy days to celebrate come often when you have a large family. Of course my celebrations are mostly long distance. None the less my wishes are heartfelt and true.
This long work week is just about over and I’ll head to the camper right after work today. It’ll be another quiet weekend for me. The weather is supposed to be really nice so I’ll just spend some hours soaking up the sun.
See you all on Monday!
God willing and the creek don’t rise.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Father God, thank you for providing the spiritual nourishment we desperately need and for placing within us the desire for it
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

ONE MORE...
I had the toughest time of my life. First, I got angina pectoris and then arteriosclerosis. Just as I was recovering from these, I got tuberculosis, double pneumonia and phthisis.
Then they gave me hypodermics. Appendicitis was followed by tonsillectomy. These gave way to aphasia and hypertrophic cirrhosis.
I completely lost my memory for a while. I know I had diabetes and acute ingestion, besides gastritis, rheumatism, lumbago and neuritis.
I don't know how I pulled through it. It was the hardest spelling test I've ever had
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Peter approached Jesus and asked him,Lord, if my brother sins against me,how often must I forgive him?
Matthew 18:21
In today’s Gospel, Jesus calls us to be just as diligent in his call to forgive people. He even goes so far as to tell a parable about a servant who is forgiven a very large debt and is not asked to pay back one bit. Maybe we think Jesus is asking too much. For us to forgive like this on our own strength is impossible. But with hearts focused on Jesus’ own tremendous mercy, everything can change.
