The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades.  May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks,  and boring grays of your every day.

occasion!

Hallmark!

Today is Elmo’s birthday.  He is the favorite red monster from Sesame Street, always playful and lively.  He is adored for his cute giggle and adventurous ways.  His first appearance was in 1972.  

Elmo was such a popular character that he was given his own segment called Elmo’s World. This furry monster always refers to himself in the third person.  He has a large family including a goldfish named Dorothy.  His favorite toy is a monster doll and he loves his blue blanket.  Elmo loves almost all foods, especially wasabi, but hr hates Brussels sprouts.

Celebrate this beloved character’s birthday and watch an episode of Sesame Street or Elmo’s World and enjoy some spicy wasibi while you watch.

Sesame Street was built on the idea that a show could capture a child’s attention could also give the child an education.  That idea turned out to be wildly successful.

The only Elmo pictures I have are from a coloring book I used keep at home for the grandchildren.  That is what you are seeing today but I do remember when the Elmo toy was very popular.  It was very popular one year and very hard to find for sale. 

We had a lot of fun shopping in the town of Bourne yesterday.  It has lots of interesting shops to go in up and down the main street of town.  There were antiques, boutiques, interior design stores and had just about anything you can imagine.

I got another scentsy burner, this one for Valentines day and some wax cubes to melt in it, I also found a small purse to carry when I go shopping.  My other one was too heavy to carry around.  The new one doesn’t hold much except for necessities.  After that I found a summer weight blouse that I loved.  There were several different restaurants to go to, but we choose pizza for dinner.  They also had an excellent coffee shop and I got one that had a slight raspberry flavor to it which I got iced.  All in all it was thoroughly enjoyable.

My grandson missed school most of last week because he had the flu, but he felt better by the weekend and went back to school today.  He will have a busy week catching up on school work and he has a band concert to perform in on Tuesday and a basketball game on Thursday.  

This morning we had rain early on and it was foggy when I got up, but it’s supposed to be mostly sunny by afternoon.  It’s supposed to be in the 80’s all week until Sunday when it will drop back in the 60’s. Great weather as far as I can see.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for.  There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

13,103. for a mostly sunny afternoon.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

 

Almighty and eternal God,

Protect our military

as they discharge their duties

with the shield of your strength,

may the power of your love

enable them to return home in safety

that with all who love them

they may ever praise you for your loving care.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
