Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Celebrate this day and send a card to your loved ones letting them know how loved and appreciated they are.
You sound like my sweetheart. She will say, "I must get my cards for next month!" Yes she too has a list, probably not as long as yours. LOL Thanks for the history of Valentines Day. I remembered this year and did get my sweetheart some things for the day.
We went out to breakfast at "Perkins" Restaurant, had a great server and the brewakfast was the best!
Love from a cool Florida
sorry about the brewakfast, that was Breakfast of course. Love ya!
I never heard of that Lupercalia Festival .... doesn't sound that different than some reality television shows nowadays. I've not sent 'real' cards in years, but my former husband used to give me ones he made himself from brightly-colored construction paper. So special, I saved them in scrapbooks.
Looks like grandma is getting some loving time with her girls. thanks for the history of Valentine's.
We had a very nice, but low-key day today. I enjoy those more than going out and being in a crowd.
Happy Valentine's Day.
