The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades.  May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks,  and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Roof Over Your Head Day which celebrates having a house that is often the single largest investment that a person will make in his or her lifetime.

In the U. S. around 64% of the population owns their homes.  Studies have shown that homeowners are more active in their communities, have more improved education opportunities and report high levels of self esteem and happiness.  

Celebrate today whether you rent or own, It’s an opportunity to take a moment to appreciate the roof over your head.

If cannot see the bright side,

 polish the dull side

Today I no longer have my own home, I live with my 

daughter and her family.  The house shown today is where I used to live in Ohio.   I do appreciate having a beautiful new home to live in now.  Until the last place I lived, we had always owned our home, but when I moved into that place I decided to rent since the landlord would fix anything that went wrong.  I was getting older and couldn’t make repairs myself.  Then when I moved here, my daughter said she wanted to take care of me as there was  a lot I could no longer do.  She didn’t want to worry about me.  I love living here and being taken care of by them.  I  am very thankful for the roof over my head!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

 

Almighty and eternal God,

Protect our military

as they discharge their duties

with the shield of your strength,

may the power of your love

enable them to return home in safety

that with all who love them

they may ever praise you for your loving care.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
