Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Celebrate the winter solstice and dig out your favorite blanket and spend time with family around a cozy fire.
It was 37* this morning, but at least there's no rain or snowfall. I used to love the white stuff, but don't think either of us is prepared for the very real possibility of a slip and fall.
In honor of the solstice, I'm wearing my flannel hunter's plaid pants and mis-matched collegiate hoodie. It's a good bet one of our throw blankets will be put to good use this evening ... even our pups love to snuggle in them.
Happy Saturday! xo
