THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You learn a lot when you’re barefoot The first thing is every step you take is different.
Michael Franti
For me, going barefoot means to go without socks. All winter long I wear socks to keep my feet warm and it feels good when it gets warm out to go without socks and let your feet breathe.
I don’t enjoy walking in bare feet so much any more, even on the carpet. I think the pads in my feet have worn out. So I wear flipflops or some kind of sandal.
Although last time I went to the beach I did take off my shoes so I could wiggle my toes in the sand. Oh my, it felt good.
I gave away or sold a lot of shoes when I moved but I have replaced a few with new pairs and they are now in my closet. I love shoes, especially comfortable ones and have a pair to go with all the colors in my wardrobe.
I’ve been thinking about getting a pair of cowboy boots, if I can find some cushy enough to suit me and that have flat heals. So far I’ve not been able to find any like that, but I’ll keep on looking.
I can’t wear heals any longer and all my shoes have flat soles. I only buy the comfortable and cushy kind.
Today we’re supposed to be seeing the long awaited pool being installed here. We’re all looking forward to pool to cool off in.
Later on today we’ll be going to my granddaughter, our Southern Belles', graduation party which should be lots of fun with plenty of good food.
There is only a very slight chance of rain, so hopefully we don’t get wet as it will be an outside party!
It’s supposed to be in the low 90’s so it won’t be too hot out. But still, I may have to soak my feet in the pool for awhile.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday!

Yours sounds like the beginning of a delightful weekend!
I love going barefoot ... but only in the house. I'm too chicken I might step in something disgusting or sharp; maybe both! It's been raining all day here, so I keep my big fat (ugly) rubber boots by the back door; they were one of the first things I bought when we moved here because I'm terrified of snakes.
Have fun at the party!
I always wear shoes - not sure why - so it feels funny to go barefoot now.
There sure are a lot of things being celebrated this month.
I feel like summer is already here.
