Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also International Men’s Day which focuses on improving men’s health, promoting gender equality and highlighting positive male role models.
The origin of this holiday can be traced back to the 1960’s, but the first official celebrations did not occur until 1999. Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh conceived and coordinated the event in Port of Spain the capital of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He promoted the importance of male role models and eventually received written support from the United Nations. Today over 60 countries recognize this event.
Celebrations of Men’s Day typically include marches, debates, panel discussions, public seminars, art displays and much more.
To celebrate today try to let the men in your family know how much they mean to you and the importance they have in your life.
If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Parents must lead by example. Don’t use the cliche; do as I say and not as I do. We are our children’s first and most important role models.

I think that men have an importantance in the lives of children everywhere, they need to be good role models so the the youth know how to act. Not just fathers, but all men.
This grandson has two older siblings who I’m sure he looks up to and he has 2 younger siblings he must be a good role model to. He doesn’t live close so this celebration is a long distance one once again. I have a card ready to put in the mail to him , that is filled with birthday wishes and love.
I think DDH was a good role model to his children. He was always loving and faithful to his family, he loved having children so he could have someone to play with and he taught them a lot.
DS#3 has requested that I don’t post pictures of any of them on my blog to protect their privacy, So I’m honoring his wishes today. Our little lad is getting taller each day and is not so little any more. I can’t wait to see him when we get together at Thanksgiving. Several of the cousins are about his age and I want to see who is the tallest.
We have a lot of November birthdays in our family and today I’m going to a dinner to celebrate with my two granddaughters. It’s not their birthday, but they do both have November birthdays so they are celebrating together.
I’m very thankful that I was able to share their pictures. It just doesn’t seem right to me, but I’ll respect your wishes if you don’t want me to share pictures of you!
So much is happening in our crazy world today, and privacy is Important .
Sunday is to be Sunny, but we’re not very warm. Our temps are in the 50’s today. It looks like there are a lot of 40 degree days coming our way.
Keep warm and safe everyone!
I hope you all have
a RELAXING Sunday!

It's so wonderful to be able to celebrate a few birthdays in person!
Happy Birthday to your (not so) Little Lad!
I know what you mean about not sharing our loved one's photos. My older granddaughter doesn't permit any pictures of her baby online and I know of a couple more young parents. No, I don't understand it. Remember how we couldn't wait to pull out a "Grandma's Brag Book" from our purse?
I hope you're enjoying a sweet Sunday!
Happy 😀 Birthday 🥳
as always we see the pictures of the family and smile. We know they kick in memories. Love ya. I try to be a good role model, but so far I cannot see it has worked too well. LOL
Take care up there,\

Happy birthday to the Big Little Lad. I will have to tell my husband about it being men's day.
