Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

I always get a kick out of mother daughter relationships. My girl and her mama had a great relationship. Lisa who comments on the Shipslog also touts a great relationship. Many folks enjoy that. My sweetheart always wanted a daughter, but that was not to be. BUT she has one SWEET Grand daughter and a DIL who fills that slot. ;-)

I was never blessed with a daughter -- but have a DIL whom I adore. I just concluded a 90-min. phone conversation with them, and now I'm wishing I'd have known to wish her a Happy Daughter's Day.
