My favorite Emoticon is the I LOVE YOU one😘 I put at the end of my text messages. Most of them are to family and friends and I want them to know I care for and love them.
It’s the beginning of another new week and my day to cook again. On the menu today is:
Meal Prep Turkey Cobb Salad
Makes 4 servings
3 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
3 Tbsp. olive oil
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp ground pepper
8 cups chopped romaine lettuce
2 scallions, sliced
1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1 cup halved and sliced cucumber
3 oz. cubed deli turkey
2 slices cooked bacon, halved
2 hard boiled eggs, halved
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 avacodo pitted and quartered, optional.
Whisk vinegar, oil mustard, and pepper in a small bowl. Divide the dressing amoung 4 small glass jars.
Divide romaine, tomatoes, cucumber, turkey, bacon, egg halves and cheddar among 4. 3 cup lidded glass containers. Just before serving add avocado if using and dressing to the salad and toss to coat.
This will make a cool, refreshing summer dinner for me. I won’t be using avacodo in my salad, but the rest of the recipe will be followed.
You can refrigerate salad up to 4 days. Keeping the salad mixture and dressing mixture separate in the glass jors.
It’s to be a warm day in the 80’s but we will have rain again. Scattered thunderstorms will be prevalent. It will be off and on for a few days ahead. It’s looking like July is going to be a wet month for us in northern Ohio.

I like the one that pops when you type "cool", wearing sunglasses!
Some of them are not as clear to my old eyes and I have to struggle to think what they mean! LOL!! It's all good though, I really go by the words written to me anyway.

I don't think a day goes by without at least one -- more like a dozen -- emojis. I'm not sure what all of them mean, so I stick to a few that I know. Lots of hearts on my texts and sometimes, the monkey emoji for Pep. :)
Happy World Emoji Day to you too - some of them are so small it is hard to know what they mean - but I am going to go look them up in the Emoji Dictionary!
Aren't emoji's great fun? I love how I can type in a word and the computer offers an array. I've been eating a LOT of salads this summer but haven't made one with turkey yet. I'd probably leave out the bacon and double the avocado.
