The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades.  May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks,  and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special   

occasion!

Hallmark!

Today is World Party Day which is a synchronized global celebration that seeks to make the world a better place.  The motto for this holiday is Party is the opposite of war.  The idea behind it is that we can only create a better reality by having positive action and celebrating life instead of passively promoting peace.

The first World Party Day took place on April 3rd, 1996. The novel Flight by Vanna Bonita inspired the event.  The story ends with a countdown of a mass celebration where all humanity is united.  Readers took the idea and organized a real worldwide party.

To celebrate today throw a party with some friends or family.  

If you cannot see the bright side, polish the dull side

My hope is that we’d always choose peace than war.  War is a terrible thing and parties are the opposite.  I do try to keep positive and celebrate life every day!

It appears that I have some new neighbors.  They have been working on the house for several days now.  I didn’t know for sure until yesterday that they had moved in. But when I came home from our Easter family celebration, the lights were on and cars were in the driveway.  They are working there again today.  With all the banging going on I can only think they are completely redoing the place inside.  I haven’t see much activity on the outside. 

The people that lived there were rarely heard from or seen, but I was aware they weren’t in good health and often saw a visiting nurse come and go. 

I’m so glad to have new neighbors and not a vacant house sitting next to me.  It’s just a little creepy knowing no one is around.  

This coming Sunday, Easter Sunday, I’ll be going to church with some of my family and then going to dinner at DS#5’s house to celebrate with them.  My DIL’s parents will be there too and although we didn’t always get along, we’ve become friends over the years.  They were very critical of my son when they were first married but have since learned to love him as much as I do.  

This week will be more of getting out my Spring clothing and putting Winter away.  It will be busy for me. 

Our week is to start out with more rain moving in but the good news is that Wednesday we’ll be warming up close to 70 degrees ! That is definitely worth celebrating.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

 

Almighty and eternal God,

Protect our military

as they discharge their duties

with the shield of your strength,

may the power of your love

enable them to return home in safety

that with all who love them

they may ever praise you for your loving care.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
