Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

We enjoy hearing about your family. Now especially to read of some ancestry, good! We wish we knew more of our families, but ours is vague with very little passed down. I was able to search back to the early 1800s but not far enough back to learn more. Mama said her side came from Ireland/Scotland.
Anyway it is good to trace what we can.
Love from here

PS love the family tree shot! NICE!
Thank you for sharing these bits about your heritage! Like Jack said, I like hearing about others' families. Thankfully, my mother kept detailed records of her grandparents and theirs (and theirs). Not so much my father's stories; how I wish I'd asked more questions!
It's bitterly cold here, too. At least for those of us 'thin-skinned' southerners. We'll be staying inside and making comfort food. Keep warm!
I am thankful for my ancestors, I wouldn't be here if not for them!!
Remember the TV series "Roots"? Man, that was so good!!
You know I have recently started a family tree - I find it very interesting.
Looking forward to spring - it is cold!
