ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY,SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Hot Mulled Cider Day which is a delicious drink perfectly suited to crisp September afternoons. Apple cider is produced using a cider press and is a time honored favorite of the autumn season.
To make mulled cider slowly add brown sugar to apple cider in a suucepan and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Add other ingredients such as nutmeg, all spice, orange juice and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Strain out the spices , puur into a mug and add a cinnamon stick.
Enjoy National Hot Mulled Cider Day as you sip on your homemade brew.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The heat of autumn
is different from the heat of summer
One ripens apples, the other turns them to cider.
Jane Hirshfield
Since we are having above normal temps today I think I’ll have my cider ice cold, not hot, It’s a very refreshing drink. It’s rare for us to be this worm at the end of September and they say we could break another record tomorrow for the hottest Oct. 1 since 1946.
It’s the last day of September and I’ve been working on getting ready for fall. The biggest change I’m making is to add curtains to the windows. I have large windows in the living and dining room area so I’m sure it will make a difference in keeping the house warm in the winter.
I’ll take pictures when I finally get them up. It’s a challenge for me and I’’m determined to get it done
It’s raining here this morning and one of those day we must make our own sunshine!
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

It's Apple Season here in Ohio!
Enjoy your cider, Ma! That would be a big job to get curtains up; but I'm sure with your attitude you will succeed!

We're supposed to hit 99* today … unbelievable! I adore the aroma of mulled cider - but will settle for an iced coffee.
Love the placemat/mug rug(?) in your first photo!
Ah, cider and apples and autumn Great combo. On the farm decades ago, we had an apple butter marathon in the fall. I never peeled so many apples since.
Good stuff.
