ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Don’t Step On a Bee Day which is a reminder to people that going barefoot can mean getting stung by a bee, and to remember that we shouldn’t willingly step on bees to harm them. There is a need a to protect and care for bees.
Bees are the worlds largest pollinators and pollination makes food that we eat grow. This is just one of the many benefits that bees bring, along with the making of products such as honey and beeswax.
Ultimately today is for being aware of bees and to remember the many benefits they bring.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The pedigree of honey does not concern the bee, a clover, anytime to him, is aristocracy.
Emily Dickinson
I love honey and have it often. There is always a bottle of it on the table. There are many ways to use it in cooking and baking. Honey is good and good for us too.
Today’s recipe is for a honey spread that is delicious on anything your would normally use butter for such as pancakes or baked sweet potatoes.
Cinnamon Honey Butter
1/2 lb. unsalted butter, room temperature
7 tbsp. honey
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
Mix all ingredients until incorporated and smooth. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate.
If you use salted but, eliminate the salt from the ingredients.
Right now the clover is blooming away out in the yard and normally I’d see a bee or two buzzing around them, but so far the only bee I’ve seen was on the pot of flowers on the carport. They were a gift for Mother’s Day this year and I’m happy I could share them.
I hope you all have WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The busy bee has no time for sorrow.
William Blake
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7234. for the many benefits of bees
7235. for honey, good and good for us
7236. for fields of clover, just beautiful
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Don’t wear perfume in the garden unless you wanted to be pollinated by the bees.
Anne Raver
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Bees make honey and honey is good and good for us too!
I know that the bees are a blessing to us but I must admit I don't like being around one and have been known to swat at them:) Pretty pictures of your flowers.
Yum. I've got to make that spread! I remember back in 2013, when Tom was going through cancer treatments, reading something about a 'folk cure-all' of honey and cinnamon.
That honey-cinnamon spread looks delicious! I'm going to make some the next time we are having biscuits. I do try to remove the bees that land in the pool looking for water by scooping them out with the skimmer. Often they are still alive so I just gently put them over the fence as I know how important they are to our environment.
