ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

WELCOME JULY
The month of July is Air Conditioning Appreciation Month, Bereaved Parents Awareness Month, Cell Phone Courtesy Month, the Dog Days of Summer, Family Golf Month, Get Ready for Kindergarten Month, National Deli Sandwich Month, National Anti Boredom Month, National Baked Beans Month, National Blueberries Month, National Grilling Month, National Hot Dog Month, National Parks and Recreation Month, National Picnic Month, and National Watermelon Month.
Today is International Joke Day which is the perfect time to celebrate laughter. Where would any of us be without jokes and laughter to brighten our spirits.
Its a time to recognize the important job humor plays in keeping our stress at bay, building relationships and bringing levity to a world that badly needs it.
July 1st is all about getting a grin out of your best friend, sharing a laugh with others, and appreciate those that who have left us in stitches.
Telling a good joke is a lot of harder them memorizing a few words. It takes timing, delivery and experience. Take this holiday as an opportunity to learn and practice telling a joke. Who knows what could be accomplished if we all shared a good sidesplitting laugh, even just for a day.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Laughter is sunshine in the house.
William Thackeray
The say that on an average children between the ages of 0 to 4 laugh 200 to 400 times a day while adults only laugh 4 to 20 times a day. We definitely need more laughter in our lives.
I’m really not good at telling jokes, When it comes to delivering the punchline, I miss the mark. But jokes are good for our bodies. Studies have shown that laughter is truly the best medicine. It has far reaching positive effects for the mind and the body.
With this new month, our year is now officially half over and it’s a good time to reflect on what I still need to do and take action to get it done. The days are slowly growing shorter one minute at a time. So it is good to take advantage of the extra daylight while we still have it.
I hope you had a good weekend and are ready for the new week ahead. I am well rested so I can tackle whatever this week brings with it. I’ve got a few errands to run this morning, so I’m getting out and about today.
They say we will be partly cloudy and in the mid 80’s here. And a stray thunderstorm is possible. We’ll see…
Today’s picture are a few random ones shared by my family the past few weeks. A few are on vacation and others are enjoying days at home. All are days of fun and laughter!
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

7207. for a new month and new possibilities
7208. for laughter, the best medicine
7209. for Mondays, a fresh start
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Laughter is good and good for you !
Looks like a lot of summer fun! In 5 weeks here the kids go back to school; sounds like such a short time left to make the summer memories here. I'm amazed half of 2019 is over with already! Its gone by fast.
I am like you, Ma, I can't tell jokes well but I always do enjoy a good joke and a hearty laugh!

I am so grateful to be married to a man that makes me laugh! About 15 years ago my life changed drastically for the better and the first thing my children said was, "Mom has a sense of humor!" Lauging is so very important and you really hit the spot with that in your post today! I hope we all take it to heart and laugh our way through July!!!
Never underestimate the power of comic relief! Once upon a time -- in a land far, far away -- (ha) I'd try and use humor to deflect tensions between my bosses. Never, however, have I been able to successfully tell a joke.
Your family is so beautiful!
