ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is National Get Out of The Dog House Day, which is a day that pardon’s transgressions. When you are in the doghouse, you have fallen out of favor with someone, usually your spouse or significant other, However you can also be in the doghouse with a friend or people you work with.
Today is all about making up with someone who has sent you to the doghouse or bringing someone back in from the cold. It’s a time to forgive them of their wrongs and give them a chance.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them.
Bruce Lee
We all find ourselves in the proverbial dog house now and then, but the way I look at it, life is to short to stay angry or hold grudges against people we love. It’s always better to forgive and move on. Two simple words, I’m sorry, can do a whole lot to improve our situations.
It’s the Dog Days of summer and sometimes when it gets hot tempers tend to flair up. We sometimes say things we don’t really mean. None of us are perfect and we all make mistakes at one time or another.
The longer I live the more I’ve come to realize what is worth getting upset over and what is not. People are going to make you angry sometimes, and there will be some that hurt you, but it’s up to each one of us to let it go, forgive and not let it get in the way of a relationship.. We need stop wasting our days because one day we’ll have no more left to waste.
It’s Monday, the beginning of another new week and we start with a clean slate to do the best we can with what we’ve got. So far as I know, nobody is in the doghouse and neither am I, so it’s going to be a great day to get on with life and enjoy it.
I don’t have any doghouse pictures to share today but do have some dogs in my life thanks to my children so that is what todays pictures are of.
Forgiveness is a funny thing. It warms the heart and cools the sting.
William Arthur Ward
I hope you all have GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Forgive everybody.
Maya Angelou
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7249. for the gift of forgiveness
7250. for life, short but sweet
7251 for each new day, another chance to get it right
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

To err is human to forgive is divine...
Get out of the dog house free day:) The little black dog is so cute!
Heard a great sermon at church yesterday about letting things go and showing mercy to others as God will be merciful to us if we show mercy. I think forgiveness is part of that. Being able to forgive others and also able to admit when we have wronged others. Its a valuable lesson again to learn early in life.

You are a wise lady......
Like Betty's minister, ours presented a similar theme entitled, "The Mercy Road." Even when we're not privy to a spoken apology, who are we to withhold mercy.
