ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Stress Awareness Day which is a good chance to take a deep breath and relax. The day was started by the Health Resource Network in 1992 to raise awareness of stress.
Research has shown that that stress has a negative effect on the immune system. Chronic stress takes a significant toll on your body. It can raise blood pressure, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, increase vulnerability to anxiety and depression, and hasten the aging process.
Today is also National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day and National Eggs Benedict Day
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.
William James
These days there is very little stress in my life, but every now and then stressful moments still happen. That is when I remember to take a deep breath and let it go. Life is just too short to stress, argue or worry.
We can’t control everything that happens in life, but we can control our reactions to what happens. The best way I know of to release negative feelings is to count your blessings. Thinking about the good in our lives removes a lot of stress.
Believe it or not, we had some snow mixed with the rain yesterday so soup sounds pretty good about now. It will warm up today they say, but since Taco Tuesdays are a favorite for many in my family I’m going to mix up some Taco Soup. I’ve shared the recipe before but here it is again, in case you missed it.
Crockpot Taco Soup
2 cans Ranch style beans
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 can corn
1 lb. ground beef
1 package taco seasoning
1 package ranch dressing mix
Brown meat, add taco seasoning and water, as directed on seasoning package.
Pour all cans in crockpot and add ranch dressing and meat. Cook 2 hours till it’s all warmed through. Serve with sour cream and cheese, optional.
The pictures today are more of our family Easter celebration. I’ve nothing much more to share right now.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I’m too grateful to be hateful. I am too blessed to be stressed.
El DeBarge
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6978. for so many blessings in my life
6979. for my crockpot, it gets used a lot
6980. for great memories
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Don't forget to breathe...
Easter egg gathering looked like fun! I hard parts of Arizona might see some snow tonight with a storm passing through, the higher altitudes. It is always good to take a deep breath when under stress and just to try to let our minds go free for a minute. It does help.

It is a good idea to manage stress. There is so much going on around us now that stress is inevitable. Heres to a good Holy week!
Stress was a constant companion when I was teaching. Stress magically disappeared when I retired.
Not all stress, but a big chunk.
Like Susan, I've so little stress in my life nowadays … it's hardly worth mentioning. On the other hand, I wish Tom wouldn't grow so angry over things he can't control. I truly believe stress was a big contributor to my dad's premature death.
I missed my visit yesterday so I’m catching up! Love seeing your family! It’s a wonderful thing to live relatively stress free. What a blessing. It never gets old, does it?
