ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is International Moment of Laughter Day which is a day to laugh loudly and laugh often. Watch a funny movie , read an amusing book, share your favorite jokes, and indulge in some good old fashion silliness to celebrate the occasion.
In addition to spreading joy, laughter has many health benefits. Studies have shown that there is indeed some truth to the old saying, laughter is the best medicine. Laughter can act as an antidote to pain, stress, and conflict. It also straightens our immune systems, boosts circulation and relaxes muscles.
Whether you giggle, chuckle, cackle, or guffaw, share a moment of laugher today.
Today is also Palm Sunday, National Dolphin Day, and National Pecan Day.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A good laugh is sunshine in the house.
Willam Makepeace Thackeray
We certainly had lots of moments of laughter yesterday when we celebrated our Family Easter. It’s always fun when family gets together and I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to DS#5 and his family for being our hosts. We had a wonderful time and it was a beautiful day. The pictures today are from yesterday’’s festivities.
I’m so thankful for those in my family that were able to come. It’s means a lot to me to see them all together. Not everyone was able to come as usual, due to time and distance, and they were definitely missed.
Today is Palm Sunday and I’ll be off to church as always. One week from today will be Easter Sunday. It’s definitely going to be a day of rest, renewal and refreshment for me. And I don’t have to worry about what’s for dinner, I have plenty of leftovers from yesterday’s family feast.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

Laugh and be JOYful. It's the best medicine!
Aw how fun, MA! It looks like you had a pretty day for your Easter celebration too. Enjoy your day today of having a laugh on Laughter Day and also resting after yesterday's festivities. Love, Andrea xoxo
I love seeing your family! Celebrating a week early is exactly what Dean ad Sherry are doing. Sherry's family all gathered at her daughter's new home in the Dallas area yesterday. As a matter of fact, Sherry works from home but her home office is in Irving. She and Dean spent Thursday night at our house in Irving and she worked at the office on Friday. That left Dean hanging out in our home all day. He will tell us all his funny stories when they get home tnight. I talked to him in the phone and he was laughing telling me how he couldn't figure out our TV and the only channels he could find were infomercials and church! (We have a ton of good channels!) and he could not access our Internet (Password is on the modem) and last but not least - his laptop needed recharging so he thought 'no problem!' But when he went to plug it in - he couldn't find any outlets. There were all hidden or behind debris. Then there was the matter of light switches. My house is such rhar even the switch plates are decorated and he could not find them! Talk about laughing!!! We are going to be doing a lot of that today!!
I am so very grateful that Louis Dean and I both laugh every single day. And often! It's one of the best things about our relationship!
Enjoy your Palm Sunday! We are going to miss Easter this year. For the first time in over 15 years, I will not be hosting a Family Food Friday dinner.....or make my traditional Easter Bread.....we will be on Critter Duty again but will watch Easter services online.
Have I mentioned how much I love coming here to visit with you every morning? I love your joy and positive attitude!
What a passel of cuties! And the children aren't so bad, either … hee-hee. So glad to hear laughter was a big part of your day! I definitely agree, laughter is the best medicine. Have a great afternoon!
I like that they have a National Dolphin day! Your family celebration sounded fun and always enjoy seeing the grand kids as well as your children and spouses. The kids sure are getting big and it looks like your grandson who I think started college this year if I'm correct is letting his hair grow out a bit :)
Laughter is always great medicine! I think its a prescription we need to keep remember to refill on a daily basis.
