ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is the International Dance Day which seeks to promote the art of dance around the world. This day is all about the history of dance and recognition of its place in society.
Its a day to put on your red shoes and dance the blues away. The human body’s ability to move and grove has captivated the way we interact with music and express ourselves artistically.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick of your shoes, and dance.
Oprah Winfrey
I think most of us like to dance in some form or fashion. I’m not the best of dancers, but often move to the music that is playing. They say is it great exercise too and our community here even provided line dancing classes here last winter. I didn’t go, but thought it was a great idea.
I’m not very flexible on my feet anymore at all but that doesn’t keep me from doing a happy dance every now and then. Ha!
Today’s pictures are just o few of my grandchildren going to their proms and school dances in the past. No doubt there was a lot of dancing going on.
It’s a new week and hard to believe that another month is almost over and the month of May is just around the corner. It’s been chilly here, but that hasn’t stopped the flowers from blooming. The ornamental pear and weeping cheery trees are all a bloom as well as magnolia trees. It’s such a beautiful time of year.
I was just a little lax in my house keeping duties last week so this week I have to focus on some cleaning. It’s also time to think about packing away my Easter decorations and getting out something new. The month of May will be all about the red, white, and blue here at my house. It will be a good theme to carry through the month of June and July too.
Time just keeps moving forward, never stops. On the bright side, I always have plenty to do!
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Dance is the hidden language of the soul.
Martha Graham
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7018. for a day to remind us to dance
7019. for lots to do, always
7020. for all the beautiful blooming trees and flowers
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
When you dance, your purpose is not to get to certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.
Wayne Dyer
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

And the dance goes on and on....
So very pretty and handsome your grandchildren were when they were off to their fun events! We were out to eat last Saturday night and there was a group of kids at the restaurant all dressed in their finery for their prom I am sure.
It is always good to dance! I'm not a good dancer but when the kids were young, we danced a lot. Indeed it is good exercise especially one that can be done indoors if the weather outside is frightful.
betty
Loving these photos! … Sunrise, sunset. Swiftly fly the days, for sure!
I think I'd enjoy line dancing lessons. But wait, I've never been accused of being coordinated. (LOL) We've a pear tree in the front yard, but it's tiny blooms lasted just a week. I did, however, see my first magnolia blossom in the park this morning … that made me smile.
