ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Daylight Savings Time Day which is the practice of advancing clocks ahead so the evenings have more daylight and mornings have less.
The practice has been both praised and criticized. Adding daylight to evenings benefits retailing, sports and other activities that use sunlight after working hours. DST begins the second Sunday of March and ends the first Sunday in November, almost two thirds of the year.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We turn not older with years, but newer every day.
Emily Dickinson
I hope you all remembered to set your clocks forward one hour last night so you woke up on time today. Even though I went to bed earlier last night so I wouldn’t miss that hour of sleep I lost, I’m sure by afternoon I’ll be ready for a nap.
I’ll be off to church as usual this morning, and then to dinner this evening, so I’m sure I’’ll plenty of time to squeeze one in. My birthday was earlier in the week so that is the cause for this weekend of fine dining. Today is the time when it was convenient, for those in my family that could make it in, to celebrate.
I’ve had lots of emails, phone calls, text messages and cards and gifts and so I want to say Thank You to all those that took the time to help me celebrate. Every day is such a gift. The pictures today are from my birthday last year.
Today is also the perfect time to change those batteries in our smoke detectors. Mine were changed in the fall when Daylight Savings Time ended, but it wouldn’t hurt at all to change them again.
Be safe, not sorry...
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Each day comes bearing its gifts. Untie the ribbons.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6866. for a birthday to celebrate, every day is a gift
6867. for a Sunday nap
6868. for a family gathering, time to party
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Every day is a gift!
Happy Birthday! Great picture of you with the grands...
Happiest of birthdays, MA, and have a wonderful dinner out tonight. Love, Andrea xoxo
Happy belated birthday, Ma! I thought it was the 8th? But then I wasn't 100% sure. It looked like you had lovely birthday celebrations from last year. I'm sure this year's was just as fine! What was weird about Daylight Savings Time, since we don't do it here in Arizona, was that our cell phones were an higher later; we had to go back in and change the settings even though in my hubby's case he had his phone through several other time changes. They did mention on the news that other people had the same problem with their phones going an hour later. Weird :)

Like Betty said, I thought your birthday was Friday … but I was reluctant to 'sing it out-loud' in this forum. :) So glad you're being feted in grand style. Wishing you a fabulous fiscal 'new year'!
