ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is National Napping Day which is always celebrated the day after DST begins. It’s mean to compensate for the hour people lose because of the time change. Losing an hour of sleep to Daylight Savings time is never fun but a nap could help you get back on track.
A nap is a short period of sleep usually taken during the day. Studies have shown that a short nap during the day can help increase productivity and alertness.
To celebrate today, take a short nap.
This week is also Chocolate Chip Cookie week.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Think of what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world- had cookies and milk about 3 o’clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap.
Rober Fulgum
I highly recommend a nap. I take them often. They not only improve our alertness, but can boost our immune system, relieve stress and improve our memory too. Experts say that a 20 minute power nap is the best. A longer nap might make you feel groggier, but it can also longer lasting benefits too.
There are times that I think I sleep too much, I get a good nights sleep, 7 to 8 hours, and still take a nap most days. But it’s apparently what my body needs. When I worked and was raising my family, napping was a luxury I could little afford. But since I’ve retired I’ve learned to take full advantage of them. Ha !
After a wonderful weekend of celebrating it’s going to be hard for me to get back to normal. It was great to have the company of family, and now it’ll be just me again. I’m not complaining but am thankful. Today’s pictures are from yesterday’s dinner out and birthday cupcakes back at my house afterward.
There is lots to do here getting ready for Easter and I’ll be starting my painting project so the time will fly by.
Today would have also been DDH’s birthday. We were able to spend 27 wonderful years together and had 7 beautiful children, so I’m thankful for that. I’ve had as many years now without him as I had with him. I've never found another that could replace him. He remains forever in my heart.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
No day is so bad it con’t be fixed with a nap.
Carrie Snow
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
It’s better to crash into a nap than to nap into a crash.

Celebrate every day!
Naps do nothing but ruin my sleep for that night. But I like them... and do indulge on occasion & then deal with the consequences later. :-) I love your pictures, MA!! ~Andrea xoxo
Looked like a lovely celebration, Ma!! And I bet the cupcakes were delicious! I would love to take a nap today but I think my employer might frown on it :)
I don't know the ways of God and why he chooses to do what he does, but I'm sure had your husband lived longer, he would have been so proud of how your children turned out and would have doted on all the grandchildren too :)

Ha! When I first read this, I'd just woken from an early nap. (The dogs had us up just after 3AM.) I'm loving all these happy pictures; you're so blessed to be showered with love. I'll bet your DDH is up there, just bustin' his buttons with pride.
PS - Are those little wreaths on your kitchen cabinet doors? What a grand idea!
Happy 😃 Birthday 🎂 to you and a Special Happy Birthday to Hubby 🎈
I love naps and do them often. Tonight I slept from 5-6 p.m. and it was glorious. I am a night owl so it won't hurt my sleep. Happy Birthday to you and to your husband in Heaven. It sounds like you two had an amazing relationship.
