ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is St. Patrick’s Day which is celebrated worldwide by those of Irish decent and increasingly by other people. Celebrations are generally themed around all things Irish and by association, the color green.
Saint Patrick was born and raised in the Roman Britain during the 5th century. At the age of 16 he was captured and sold as a slave to an Irish sheep farmer, but eventually managed to escape. He spent several years in a monastery before returning to Ireland as a Christian missionary. Today he is hailed as the patron saint of Ireland.
Whether or not you have Irish ancestors, wear something green or attend a parade today to celebrate this famous Irish holiday. Cities like Boston, Philadelphia and Savannah host huge St. Patrick’s Day parades and Chicago dyes its river bight green.
May your troubles be less,
And your blessings be more,
And nothing but happiness
come through your door.
Irish Blessing
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
When Irish eyes are smiling, they’re usually up to something.
Author Unknown
I’ve been told that somewhere in my ancestry, I’m a wee bit Irish. If I am it is a very tiny percentage, but I’m wearing my green today and eating some Irish Shepherd’s pie to celebrate today.
It’s turned colder here again, but on the bright side there are some warmer days coming our way. The long range forecast is looking up.
Shepherds Pie
As usual for a Sunday, I’ll be off to church and am thankful for my winter coat this morning. This is a day of rest for me and dinner is waiting for me to warm up.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
When I count my blessings I count you twice!
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6884. for a special day to celebrate
6885. for missionaries like St. Patrick, who spread the word
6886. for leftovers, always good
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Always remember to forget the troubles that passed away.
But never forget to remember the blessings that come each day.
Irish Saying
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

Celebrate today and every day !
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, MA. And yes, here in northern Indiana we need a coat too. It's 32 degrees as I type this, at 9:46am. Brrrrr!! Love, Andrea xoxo
How fortunate, you've a bit of Irish ancestry. I hope you're feeling so fine you kick up your heels and do a little jig! (We're off to the lake in a bit, and I'm crossing fingers there will be a WiFi connection.)
Happy St. Patrick's Day, Ma! Such a festive blog post today! Those donuts look yummy! They say everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day so wear your green and enjoy the day!

Happy ☺ St. Patrick's Day 🍀
Happy St. Paddy's Day! Our Irish family is getting together this afternoon for an Irish dinner (all the good stuff). That is, AFTER we attend our girls'Irish Dancing at 2 retirement communities/care centers.
March is always a busy time for them!
Your Shepherds’s Pie looks good! I mean to fix Irish food every year for this day and I never get around to it! It was ‘clean out the fridge’ day so that means no new food! Leftovers all day long!
