ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Meatball Day which is an opportunity to have a ball and eat meatballs. Meatballs are the perfect topping to a classic spaghetti and tomato sauce dish. They are often made by combining ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, and an assortment of sauces and seasonings. No matter which variety of meatball you prefer celebrate today by making and eating your favorite today.
Today is also Panic Day and Barbie’s Birthday

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Variety is the very spice of life,
That gives it all of it’s flavor
William Cowper
There are truly a lot of ways to make meatballs from Swedish to Italian. My favorite is Italian and I love to make meatball sandwiches. I’ve made my own meatballs, but very often I get the frozen variety. I simmer them in the crockpot for a few hours with some spaghetti sauce. Put them on a Italian roll and top with either Parmesan or Mozzerlla cheese. Very simple and easy to do. They also make great appetizers as well as dinner. The recipe below is one that we often have at our family get togethers.
Appetizer Meatballs
4 dozen frozen meatballs
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 c. grape jelly
1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
Put frozen meatballs in slow cooker Mix the onion, jelly and barbecue sauce together and pour into the slow cooker and mix to coat meatballs. Cover and cook on low 3 to 4 hours. Serve hot from the slow cooker. These meatballs can also be served as a main dish over rice or noodles and a side vegetable.
The weekend is here and with it we’re to have some warmer weather and it’s probably going to rain today. I’m not cooking today but am finishing up the stroganoff that I cooked earlier in the week. and tomorrow I’m supposed to be going out to eat dinner with some of my family.
I got to go out to lunch yesterday with my sister and BIL and for dinner with DD and her family. This is a truly a weekend for fine eating ! Their pictures are shown above
I hope you all have a SUPPER Saturday!

I do like meatballs and there is a great variety of ways to eat them for sure. It is always fun to go out to eat with family and friends. I'm sure you enjoyed both of your eating outs yesterday!
